It’s about the day my life changed!
For some that day can be a wedding day, birth of a child or so many other things. Halloween 2012 will always be one of those days I’ll never forget
I was going to save this for #TBT, but it was more fitting to share today! I was reminded today that it was exactly 5 years ago that I walked into the gym for my first workout with BJ, and my life changed forever. He helped get me started on an epic adventure into fitness, strength training, wellness and really finding out who I really am!

But I’m not gonna sugar coat it. I know that over the last 3 years, I have gone through even more changes. After dealing with some health issues, I regaining some of the weight that I lost. I have also made some changes in my overall nutrition, changed careers, went back to school and I am really learning who I am deep down.
However, the weight that I have gained back has affected my running and overall health and it’s time to get real. The scale has not been on my side and I am realizing that my jeans are not fitting right anymore. Yes, even with all of the miles that I run! Running and being active is only part of the equation to a healthy life for me. It’s time to get myself back to a healthier weight once and for all. I have some lofty goals for 2018 and the extra pounds will only make it that much more challenging! No, I am not letting the scale dictate who I am, but carrying the extra weight has made it difficult to do many of this things that I want to do. Time to dial in the nutrition and kick up the strength training again.
I’m not waiting until the new year to start working on the next version of me! It starts now!!
